Course In Politics
fX.Z. Press Association> HAMILTON, August 31. A special night-class course in politics will be run by the University of Waikato in the third term this year. The course, which will be run by Mr W. T. Roy. lecturer in polities at the university, is concerned with “the substance of politics—with what it really is. rather than what theorists have thought it out to be.”
Mr Roy said today the teaching and research of the university should not be regarded as too varied for persons who have never been to university, and some of it was of interest and value to the public in the midst of whom the university lived and worked. “This is why, in an election year, it is the duty of the university to offer a course in some way related to the interests of those who vote,” he said.
