Without a guarantee of funds in excess of £2OOO it will not be possible to operate a flying surf pattrol scheme next summer, says the annual report of the New Zealand Surf Life-Saving Association. Week-end air patrols of popular beaches were suggested last year to give early warning of sharks and rips.
