Theft From Bedroom
An intruder stole £l5 5s 7d from the bedroom of a house in Bounty street while the occupant was asleep early yesterday morning. He had climbed through an unlocked window and was disturbed by the occupant as he was leaving. The theft is another in a series of similar offences which have been reported to the police in the last six months. Detective-Superinten-dent F. A. Gordon said yesterday that one person was probably the offender in each case. A house in St. Martins road was ransacked on Tuesday night and a transistor radio valued at £2O was stolen. Entry was gained through a window A wheel assembly valued at £24 was stolen from a trailer in a shed at the rear of premises occupied by Ellis, Hardie, Syminton, Ltd., engineers, in Moorhouse avenue on Tuesday night.
