Trotting Course.—A reply is awaited from the board’s solicitors regarding the board’s rights and obligations in respect of the sale of the Addington Trotting Course land which the board controls as part of the Twigger Estate. K a i k o u r a.—The board agreed to proposals made by the Kaikoura Land Development Committee for the 'improvement of a block of hospital land. Seventh Anniversary.—Yesterday was the seventh anniversary of the opening Of Princess Margaret Hospital, and the board sent greetings and good wishes to the medical superintendent (Dr. R. C. Dick) and the staff and thanked them for the contribution they had made to hospital services in the district. Nurses’ Meals.—Because of fewer nurses requiring meals at Princess Margaret Hospital at week-ends, the nurses’ home kitchen and diningroom will be closed for a trial period of two months, and nurses will have week-end meals in the staff cafeteria.
