Wedding Day Beauty Hints

An approaching wedding day is an important and wonderful occasion in any girl’s life. This is the day on w’hich you hope to look more beautiful than ever, with shining hair, radiant skin and perfectly chosen make-up.

Your basic preparations for wedding-day loveliness should start at least a month beforehand, so that when the great day finally arrives, you will have taken care of such important items as hair styling, permanent waves, weekly facials to tone the complexion, softening and grooming the hands, and tidying your eyebrows into smooth, clearlydefined arcs.

On the wedding day you should prepare for the ceremony so that you have plenty of time for applying make-up. You should use a moist oil as powder base, so that your skin is velvety smooth and ideally conditioned to hold make-up matt and shine-proof for hours, in spite of your excitement and the hectic exchange of customary kisses. Apply a rose-pink rouge sparingly, especially if you tend to flush easily. The soft, natural look is the effect every bride should strive for. You probably will find that

this calls for paler shades than you normally use. Powder in a peach shade and a rose-pink lipstick are charming and flattering to most brides who wear the traditional white gown and frosty veil. Take extra care when you apply your lipstick—it so often loses its clean, neatlyoutlined look before the reception begins. Practice the models’ habit of powdering over your first light application. It really works! Unless you are prepared to use only the most natural eye shadow, it is best not to use any at all. Apply waterproof mascara, but go over the lashes with a dry brush afterwards, separating them so that they look soft and silky.
