Gifts Made To University
The following gifts to the University of Canterbury were reported yesterday:— From Mr B. T. Withers, journals from 1954 to 1965 for the library. Mr Ernest Adams, photographic equipment worth more than £lOO for the botany department. From Miss Hilda E. Edgar, a bequest of £lOO for the School of Fine Arts prize fund. She was an early student and later a school teacher. From the Golden Kiwi Fund, an additional £3OOO for a scientific furnace in the physics department.
From the Christchurch Transport Board, a bursary and scholarship in engineering.
