Net Profit
City and Suburban Estates, Christchurch land developer, showed a sharp lift in consolidated net profit in the 10 months to July 31 with taxpaid earnings of £17,967. This result, still subject to audit, is after £16,899 for tax. Profit for the 12 months before was £11,248 after £10,256 for tax. Projection
On a 12-months basis, latest profit would be 91.7 per cent up at £21,560. Recommended dividend is 7 per cent. It is payable on December 7 and books close on November 30. Since it was listed in 1962 the company, formerly Paramount Housing Estates, has paid a steady 6 per cent dividend.
The change of balance date from September 30 to July 31 was announced in-March this year.
