Minister Asks For Details

WELLINGTON, Aug. 28.
The Minister of Mines (Mr Shand) said tonight that he had asked for more details of a commission proposed to explore power development possibilities in Buller.
He confirmed that he had received a letter from the Westport Borough Council asking for a commission to explore the possibilities of establishing a coal-burning power station and a coal distillation plant. Mr Shand said he had asked the council what sort of experts it thought should make up the commission.
