The Lecturer appointed will be required to work, in a consultative capacity, with the New England Rural Development Association on a programme of rural community development, and should have experience and qualifications in rural extension and agricultural science, rural science and agricultural economics. I ELIGIBILITY Candidates should normally hold a Ph.D. degree or have research publications revealing equivalent status. TENURE Fellowships are tenable for one year, but tenure may be extended for a second year. VALUE The salary will be tn the range of $4OOO (Australian) to !$5OOO (Australian) per annum For Fellows coming from overseas, there will be an additional travel grant equivalent to a tourist-class sea fare with a further grant not exceeding $2OO towards the fare of a Scholar’s wife. Corresponding grants will be made for return travel. An expenses grants, up to £7OO in any one year, may be made available to the Department in which a Fellowship is held.
