BOOK WEEK PRIZES
Posters And Essays Both sections, written work and posters, were popular with j orlmary school children and large numbers of entries were received for Childrens Book Week competitions. Because of 1 this, sections were sub-divided so that more awards could be : made. Prize winners were.: "Illustrating a favourite book, children under 14 years. Allan Philpott (Walnoni). Caroline Brouard (Isleworth). Anne Kumm (Spreydon), Norrie Ibson (Linwood Intermediate). Review of an historical fiction book or a science fiction book, children above Standard 4. Ann Fischer (Heaton Intermediate). [Helen Cross (Kirkwood Intermediate). Annette Hooper 'Spreydon), Patrick Moore (Middleton Grange). A favourite book character, children up to and including Standard 4, Susan Parkinson (North New Brighton). Raoul Neavo (Wharenul), Judith Archibald (Quinns Road), stephen , Parsons (Shirley Primary), I Nicholas Kearns (St. Peter's i Beckenham)
