Canberra Riot Squad
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Aug. 18. Australian Capital Territory police have formed a six-man riot squad equipped with tear gas, riot guns, sub-machine-guns and armour. The squad has been training at the Canberra rifle range. N.S.W. police emergency squads have been trained with similar equipment for the last 10 years.
