Marching For Id A Pace
(N.Z. Press Association* NELSON, August 19. Three hundred walkers are expected to start at dawn in Nelson’s Operation 21 hunger march to Richmond and back tomorrow. The Nelson committee’s secretary. Mr O. Symons, said the field ranged from young children to middle-aged people, all sponsored for a set sum a mile. One bank officer, 33-year-old Mr J. McLeod, had found 65 sponsors to back him for a total of £lB7—more than Id a pace.
