Profit Of £2048

A profit of £2048 is shown in the accounts to be presented at the annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club on September 7. This figure had been reached after providing £750 for taxation, says the report of the president (Mr C. E. Gray), who is not seeking reelection.

Appreciation is paid to the services of the secretary (Mr E. G. Mitchell), who is resigning from office. He will be succeeded by his business partner (Mr L. D. B. Stowell). The committee has decided to recommend that Mr Mitchell be elected a life member of the club.

The report refers to the growth of the club in its 10 seasons as a totallsator club. On-course totallsator turnover at the club’s first meeting was £33,054, and offcourse turn-over amounted to £18,192, a grand total of £51,246. Turn-over had increased al-

most every season until last season on-course figures reached £55,783, and the offcourse total was £47,248, a grand total of £103,031. The report says the club’s accumulated funds now stand at £14,857.
