10,000 FOOTSTEPS A DAY. —Many Tokyo citizens are trying to walk 10,000 steps a day to improve their health. This is the outcome of a recent campaign entitled, “Let’s walk 10,000 steps a day.” The little new machine, attached at the waist, is a walking-step counter, and can count until 10,000 is reached. The long hand moves one unit by one step, and when it circles, the short hand moves one unit (1000 steps).
