CONSIDERATION OF INQUIRY
Conference to Meet In October f.VZ. Press Association! WELLINGTON. A special meeting of the Racing Conference will be held on October 14 to consider recommendations in the report of the Committee of Inquiry into Racing. The recommendations adopted at the meeting will then become the subjects of notices of motion to amend, revoke or add to the Rules of Racing where necessary. A further meeting, in Februray, is envisaged for consideration of remits resulting from the first meeting. The conference has approved a Whangarei Racing Club application to race at Ellerslie on October 29 and the appointment of Messrs R. A Whyte, of Wellington, and W A H. Thompson, of Invercargill, as members of the Totalisator Agency Board.
