Air Traffic Dispute (N.Z. Press Associationi WELLINGTON, August 15. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight that the Minister of Labour (Mr I Shand) would report to the Public Service Association (soon on Cabinet discussions I about a new offer for air traffic controllers. Mr Holyoake said Mr | Shand reported to the Cabinet on his meeting on Friday (with a deputation from the Air Traffic Controllers’ Association and the Public Service Association. On Friday the air controllers’ executive threatened a partial withdrawal of its services unless the Government agreed to its claim for a new pay settlement. The executive says the £5O ruling rate should be added to the salaries of air traffic controllers on lower grades and not absorbed by the recently approved pay increases.
