Five Team Time Trial
Five teams —four from the South Island, three of them local combinations—will contest the first New Zealand 100 kilometres teams’ time trial cycling championship at Yaldhurst on Saturday. The entries, apart from Canterbury, are Southland and Wellington. The composition of the fourman teams, with their emergencies, is: Canterbury No. I.—T. J. Tabak (captain), P. A. Skilling, D. Jones (Avon), R. D. Mann Papanul). Reserves: J. S, Danielson, R. J. Hogan (Papanui). Canterbury No. 2.—C. B. Fitzgerald (Christchurch, captain), B. E. Holland (Papanui). D. J. Savage, G. R. Sword (Avon). Reserves: J. H. Cleary, W. W. Thorpe (Papanui). Canterbury No. 3.—Thorpe (captain). Cleary, Hogan. Danielson. Reserves: I. D. McLean. B. P. Whitfield (Papanui). Southland.—G. Wilson. D. Graves. G. Hill. R. Maguire. Reserve: R. McKay. Wellington.—N. Lyster. L. Cooper, J. Sneddon, J. Neilson. Reserves (non-travelling): D Smith. P. Baker.
