Employment In Australia (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CANBERRA, Aug. 15. The number of Australians unemployed fell last month, the Minister for Labour and National Service, Mr Leslie Bury announced today. He also reported an increase in job vacancies. In a pre-Budget announcement on the employment situation, Mr Bury said that the number of people registered for employment with the Commonwealth declined by 2197 in July, job vacancies increased by 1550 to 34,571, and that the number receiving unemployment benefits fell by 282 to 19.200.
