Dull Day
After early-morning fog had cleared, the weather in Christchurch yesterday was ; overcast and cool. A light north-east wind blew. Frosts of three degrees were recorded at Harewood and at the Botanic Garden. The temperature at Harewood at 6 a.m. was 36 degrees. At 9 a.m. it was 41 degrees and by noon 51 degrees. A maxiiiiium temperature of 52 degrees was recorded at Harewood at 3 p.m., the temperature at the Botanic Gardens lat the same time being 51 | degrees.
