Mint Decimal Coin Sets Ordered

WELLINGTON, August 15

Orders have been placed with the Royal Mint in London for 150,000 sets of New Zealand’s new decimal coins in mint or “uncirculated” condition, and for a further 50,000 special polished sets.

Announcing this, the Par-: liamentary Under-Secretary i to the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said the uncirculated sets were expected to arrive in New Zealand by I next May. They will be available to collectors in a special folder, as were the 1965 £ s. d. souvenir sets. The sets will include the six coins in ordinary use, 50-cent, 20-cent, 10-
