CHILDREN’S PLAY
Anthony Woodhall, of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, wrote a charming little children's play, “The F .chanted Forest,” but did not live to see it performed. He was an active member of the Highbury Little Theatre, and to honour his connexion with that playhouse, “The Enchanted Forest” was presented as its Christmas attraction last December. Through direct negotiations by the Crescent Theatre’s president, Mrs Mary Lawden, with the late author’s mother, “The Enchanted Forest” can be seen by Christchurch audiences in No/ember. Guy Bliss will direct and decor will be by Tru Bliss. To add further to this New Zealand premiere, music has been specially written by a university student, John Cousins. Rehearsals will start in early September.
