DOUBTFUL STARTER
C. B. Fitzgerald (Christchurch), one of the Canterbury riders in the Air New Zealand Cycling Grand Prix final at Palmerston North this week-end, is a doubtful starter. Fitzgerald was knocked over by a motor-cycle on Sunday before riding a 100 kilometres teams’ time trial and is having trouble with a knee injury.
He will have further treatment this week and will decide whether to compete in a day or two.
