POLO WITH PLOUGHING
Two teams had been Invited to play polo at Lincoln during the world ploughing championships next year, said Mr P. M. O'Sullivan, the South Island Polo Association’s secretary-treasurer. “Ashburton has been asked to provide a team and the South Island association will be asked to provide the other team. The only thing against it is the lateness of the date, May 19-21,” he said. "The weather may be bad but I have been assured that the players will be the only judges of whether the conditions are suitable for play. This is a wonderful opportunity to publicise the sport."
