MEETING IN BANGKOK

New Vietnam Peace Bid (Special Crspdt. N.Z PA > BANGKOK, Aug. 9. A new effort to negotiate peace in Vietnam has been announced by the Foreign Minister of Thailand. Thanat Khoman, the Foreign Minister of the Philippines, Mr Narcisco Ramos, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdul Razak. The Ministers met last week in Bangkok to revive the Association of South-east Asia as established in 1961 to promote technical and economic co-operation between the three countries.

Thanat Khoman, of Thailand. launched his peace proposal at the opening session of the A.S.A. conference.
