IMPROVED ELAN
An improved version of the Lotus Elan has been announced in Britain: it is a convertible version of the successful Elan hardtop coupe announced last year. The car incorporates a redesigned glass-fibre bodyshell, a larger boot, and electrically controlled windows. In Britain the car costs £1262 in kit form, or £1526 built-up. A Lotus Cortina engine is fitted.
