"The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. An Incentive to owners and trainers racing at the Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring meeting in September will be given by the sponsorship of two trophies. Mr R. C. B. Greenslade, president of the Dunedin Jockey Club, told the annual meeting that J. Wattie Canneries had given a gold cup valued at £l5O. The first leg of the double on the first day of the meeting would therefore be named the Wattie Gold Cup Handicap and would carry a stake of £lOOO.
