Setback For C. Petrous

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 28. Clarke Petrous, Auckland roofing tile maker and roofing contractor, had a £19,819 or 65 per cent, cut in profit to £10,226 in the year to March 31, and as announced, directors have passed the dividend for the year. Earning rate on average funds was down from 9.9 per cent to 3.2 per cent and the rate on capital fell from 16.6 per cent to 5.7 per cent. Profit was after providing £1972 less for depreciation at £11,551 and £23,500 less for tax at £7691. Shareholders’ funds were' £23,126 higher at £332,740 and included capital profit, all ordinary, steady at £lBO,OOO.
