Watching For The Birds

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 28. Naming the birds which would be used in the design of decimal currency notes would make New Zealand a major attraction to overseas forgers during the decimal currency change-over, the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) told Parliament today. A knowledge of the birds could help a forger in producing “notes,” for overseas use. Sueh notes could be used before the public had had a chance to get familiar with the new designs.
