Legacies
Two legacies totalling £6094 were made to the Canterbury and Westland division of the Cancer Society of New Zealand recently. The estate of Sarah Webb gave £5594, and the estate of Orpah Elsie Norton gave £5OO.
Mr J. A Geard has been appointed the Heathcote County Clerk, replacing Mr W. H. Scrimgeour, who has resigned. Mr Geard is at present Waikohu County Clerk He is a member of the board of governors of Waikohu College, and a member of the Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union. He will take up his new I post in October.
