Somerset 12 points. At Colchester: Lancashire 272 and 171/4 .dec. (G. Pullar 71), drew with Essex 260 and 116/2. Lancashire two points. At Sheffield: Yorkshire 214 and 240 (J. Price 5/76) beat Middlesex 220 and 114 (D. Wilson 6/22) by 120 runs. Yorkshire 10 points, Middlesex two. At the Oval: Worcestershire 193/7 and 325/7 dec. (B. D'Ollveira 96; G. Arnold 4/69) drew with Surrey 187/8 and 98/2. Worcestershire two points. At Nottingham: Nottinghamshire 363/9 dec. and 123 (D. Allen 5/51) beat Gloucestershire 294 and 104 by 88 runs. Nottinghamshire 12 points. At Birmingham: Warwickshire 322/6 dec. and 171/7 dec. lost to Hampshire 291/9 dec. and 205/4 (R. Marshall 79) by 6 wickets. Hampshire 10 points, Warwickshire, two.
