Market In Balance In Average Trading
Both key stocks and second-line issues came into balance in average turn-over in yesterday’s trading. B.H.P. lost 17 cents to 625 in Wellington—the first New Zealand sales for more than two weeks. This was three cents below the home market price. Further advances were made by New Zealand Breweries, up Id to 13s 9d, Wright Stephenson, up 3d to 335, and Buntings, up 2d to 10s 6d. Tolley also rose further with a Id gain to 12s lOd. Booth Macdonald rose another 3d to Is 8d in Auckland sales. South British slipped Id to 30s 9d, and K.P. Drug another 6d to 425. McKenzies slumped 3d more to 7s 9d.
