Overseas Wins Ice Hockey
Good team-work and excellent positional play gave an Over-seas-born team a win over a New Zealand-born team, 9-8, In an ice hockey match played at the Indoor Ice Rink. The New Zealand aide was slow in starting, and Its team, work was poor in the early stages. It gradually improved and for most of the final period It had the best of the play. Scorers,—Overseas: S. Hurd 4, M. Cotter 2, J. van der Griend, B. Guy, J. Hanning. New Zealand: G. Balnton 3, M. Wickes 2, N. Hole 2, J. Phillips.
Waikato XIII.—The Waikato Rugby League team to meet Britain at Huntly on August 3, is: J. Rutene, R. Cranston, J. Wilson, B. Barakat, E. Baker, or W. Pak, J. Nicholson, M. Smith, S. Alder, M. Herewinl, N. Rennie, N. Boyd, D. Parkinson, or R. Ormsby, and J. Morunga.
