Big-Game Fishing

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 27. Big-game fishermen met with most success at Tauranga last year, says the annual report of the Marine Department tabled in Parliament yesterday. There were 578 big-game fish landed there, mostly kingfish, but included were 64 mako sharks and 65 striped marlin. At the Bay of Islands, 130 striped marlin and 54 mako sharks were included in the season’s total of 262 fish, said the report.
