A light and an unusual dish suitable for luncheon or supper can be made using bananas and ham. Ingredients: 6 bananas 6 slices of ham 6 oz processed cheese 1 pint of milk Mustard
Fried bread cubes Parsley
Method: Combine the milk and the grated processed cheese and heat in a double boiler, stirring occasionally, until a smooth sauce is obtained. Test for seasoning. Spread the ham slices with made mustard. Then roll them around the peeled bananas. Place the rolls in an ovenproof dish and pour the sauce over them. Bake in a moderate oven (350 deg for 30 minutes, covered. Remove cover and brown lightly under grill and serve with cubes of fried bread and garnish with parsley.
Science Degree. Miss Louise Armstrong, daughter of Dr. V. Armstrong, scientific adviser to the New Zealand High Commissioner in London, has obtained her B.Sc. degree (honours) in microbiology from Bristol University. Miss Armstrong, who has been a member of the Student Union Council for the last two years, hopes to return to New Zealand towards the end of the year.
