WOMEN TOO
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. The captain of the Opunake senior Rugby team and a Taranaki representative prop, J. Harrop, was attacked by three women after his team had beaten Kaponga at Opunake in the vital match in the Taranaki southern division Rugby competition on Saturday.
As the players were leaving the field, one woman kicked Harrop in the rear. As he turned to see who it was, the woman spat at him and two other women joined in abusing him. Harrop walked off.
