Bill Being Drafted (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) WASHINGTON, July 17. The Congressional investigation of the Ku Klux Klan will prepare this week the drafting of a bill to outlaw the organisation. The House Committee on Un-American Activities starts public hearings on Wednesday on legislation aimed at punishing and curbing what its chairman calls “the reprehensibe, terroristic activities” of klan-type groups. The hearings are expected to last three days. The bill is expected to be passed by a big majority, perhaps next month when it will be brought before the House of Representatives.
