Fine Trial For Levin -The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Laramie appeared fairly wall after hie final trial at Awapunl yesterday for the Hatuma Lima Handicap at Levin tomorrow. Loramie miased racing at Trentham on Saturday owing to a badly festered foot. The injury is responding to treatment and his trainer, H. Waller, hopes for a start tomorrow. He will wait until today before making a definite decision. Another to work well today was the Stewards' Handicap runner, Torere. He ran a fast five furlongs. On the plough LaramM covered six furlongs in tmln 20sec. the last three in 41sec. He was favouring his leg only slightly after the work. Produced ’ at his best, Laramie would take beating. Also on the plough. Janeen took 39 2-ssec for the last three furlongs of her work. She looks improved by a recent race at Wanganui and there could be a chance for her in the Apprentices’ Handicap at Levin. On the inside trial Torere ran five furlongs fast In Imln 3 4-ssec, the last three in 39 l-ssec. llt was a good effort and enhanced Torero’s sprint prosI pects.
