Amateur Golf To Lunt
(N.Z.P.A.-ReuteT—Copyright) ST. ANNES. M. R. Lunt completed the first father-son pair to win the English amateur golf championship, beating D. MiWienstead 3 and 2 in the 36-hole final at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, Lancashire.
His father. S. N. Lunt, won the title in 1903.
M. R. Lunt, five down at the twenty-fourth hole won eight of the next 10 hoies to score a remarkable victory. His father, a spectator on Saturday, won the 1963 title at the thirty-seventh hole from L. Crawley, after being six down after 18 holes.
