(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. The touring San Jose basketball team beat New Zealand 98-37 In the first unofficial test In Palmerston North last night. Playing straightforward basketball with no frills the San Jose side established an early lead with Its rigid man to man defence, keeping New Zealand out. At half-time It lead 51-14.
