TOUGH TASK FOR WILSON
Little Hope In Moscow (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) MOSCOW, July 18. Mr Wilson faces a virtually impossible task in Moscow today when he switches from promoting British exports to pushing for a Vietnam peace conference sponsored by Russia and Britain. A similar idea put forward in Moscow last week by Mrs Indira Gandhi, of India, was politely but firmly turned aside by the Kremlin. Diplomatic observers feel Mr Wilson is even less likely to succeed in his talks today with Soviet Premier, Mr Alexei Kosygin—in spite of the air of relaxed cordiality which the two leaders established on yesterday’s tour of the British industrial fair.
