WORLD TITLES
N.Z. May Send Team (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. New Zealand would almost certainly send players to the world table tennis championships at Stockholm, Sweden, in 1967, the chairman of the New Zealand Table Tennis Association (Mr J. E. Stewart) said on Saturday. He added that in naming the team, the selectors would take into account form shown at the North Island championships, played at Gisborne last week. It is believed that the team would comprise five players—three men and two women. The last time New Zealand competed at a world championship was in Peking, in 1961.
