FIVE PASSENGERS INJURED

Five persons were injured when a car struck a parked car in Halswell Junction road late yesterday afternoon. Allan Aubrey Welsh and Jane Pamela Welsh, of 32 Lyndon street, suffered head injuries and shock. Daphne Violet Welsh, of 5 Springs road, suffered head injuries. Edith Grace Brookenshire, of 178 Wordsworth street, suffered shock, while Albert Wederall, of 22 Opawa road, suffered head injuries and shock. They were all treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Chertsey Accident.—Norman Leslie Pearce, aged 20, of Retreat road, was admitted to the Ashburton Hospital suffering from injuries to his left arm and hand after the car he was driving ran off the Main South road near Chertsey and overturned about 6.15 a.m. on Saturday. Fell Off Motor-cycle.—Denis Michael Feeney, of 21 Windsor crescent was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital suffering from head injuries after he fell off a motor-cycle at the corner of Carlton Mill road and Rossall street about 6 p.m. on Saturday. Anthony Paul Robertson, of 134 Rossall street was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for head injuries.
