Slow trading of reduced pitchings at steady prices on London’s Smithfield market this week was reported yesterday by the Meat Board market information service. Quotations for the main 29-361 b grade of New Zealand lamb were down a farthing on last week. All New Zealand lamb eased on quotation. Light supplies of New Zealand mutton cleared steadily at nominal prices. Hoggets (481 b and under) were 22d per lb and the main 49-561 b grade of wethers 19d per lb.
