Art Classes Popular
Art classes at Sunnyside Hospital held by members of Canterbury Country Women’s Institutes had been well received, the C.W.I. federation’s monthly executive meeting was told. In addition to welfare work already undertaken at Templeton and Sunnyside Hospitals, the federation had decided to work with the new Sunnyside Welfare Council. The leader of the Friends of St Helens Hospital had delivered a layette given by the Kirwee C.W.1., and other small articles. The continuing need for baby clothes had been emphasised. On August 25 federation members would sell health stamps at the chief post office, the meeting was told.
