COMPANIES WARNED
New Listing Agreement (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 19. Seven listed public companies have been warned by the Stock Exchange Association that they will be removed from the official list one month from now unless they agree to comply with the new listing agreement. The names of the companies have not been disclosed by the association. If the companies have not indicated that they intend to comply by July 15, the association says they will be taken off the official list. The immediate affect of such action would be to suspend, temporarily at least, trading in the shares concerned. If, later, the shares were granted unofficial listing by individual exchanges, the main effect would be a loss of prestige and publicity which is associated with official listing.
