In the men’s match, the U.S.S.B. scored 134 pointe to 87 winning 18 of the if events. In th* women's match Russia go' 71 points to Britain’s 53. winning eight of the 13 events. Outstanding In the men’s track events were the 5000 metres, won by the Soviet steeplechaser, V Kudinsky, in ISmfn 47s*e, the 800 metres won by J. Boulter, of Britain, In Imin 44.5*ec. and the 3000 metres steeplechase won for Russia by A. Kuryan, in Snrtn 31.2 sec.
