Ngapara Nearly Ready

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, June 16. The motor-ship Ngapara, last of four sister ships built by the Caledon Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Ltd., Dundee, for the Union Steam Ship Company, of New Zealand, is alongside the company’s fitting-out jetty after trials in the North Sea and dry-docking at Leith. The Ngapara has been built with wide hatches and pillarless holds with a view to joining her sisters in the New Zealand - Australia trade, carrying newsprint, pulp and timber westwards, and steel on the return trip. She is equipped with four five-ton and two 10-ton deck cranes.
