Capping Sequel
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 16. Members of the Massey University’ Students’ Association have formally complained to the police about the confiscation of 300 copies of their capping magazine “Masskerade” by Auckland University students in April. They have asked the police to treat the confiscation in Auckland as theft, and police inquiries have started.
Press reports on April 16 stated that Auckland University students had burned hundreds of the magazines.
The Auckland students, who said they were concerned that the Massey students should sell their magazine in Queen street without permission from the Auckland City Council, took copies from students on the footpath.
