HALSWELL ROADS

Complaints To County Complaints about the state of some Halswell county roads were reported to the Halswell County Council last evening. The works committee report said that Mr P. W. Venning had written complaining of the state of Kennedy’s Bush road. He had said the road was in a dangerous state where the tar seal ended and suggested an “end of seal” sign be erected. The committee decided that “end of seal” signs would be erected on roads, including Kennedys Bush road. It is intended to seal the rest of Kennedys Bush road this financial year. A petition had been received from Mr A. D. A. Asquith and six other residents complaining of the state of Rhodes, Gherkins and Cossars roads. It was resolved to advise the petitioners that these roads were receiving normal attention and were being kept in the best possible condition.
