Mrs E. M. Holmes was reinstated as convener and Mrs H. F. Litolff as secretary, at the annual meeting of the Christchurch group of the Canterbury Federation of Country Women’s Institutes. Mrs Holmes reported that the Templeton Chapel which was opened on May 29 required more money for furnishings. Mairehau were winners of the Pattison Trophy for winners of the most points in group competitions. A fry pan demonstration was given during the afternoon and the Bumside C.W.1., who were hostesses for the day, presented a mannequin parade.
